The GEPARD only clamps the bike by the tyre. It does not touch expensive wheel components such as duraluminium and carbon rims. It does not touch the frame itself. It cannot rub these components like other solutions. The clamping mechanism has a prismatic profile and clamps only the tyre. The angle of the prism is designed so that it is not self-locking with a conventional case, allowing the bike to be easily removed from the rack.
